Emergency Warden (Fire Warden) Course Overview

This course teaches the skills and knowledge to prepare and respond to a variety of workplace emergencies, as outlined in Australian Standard AS3745:2010 Emergency Control Organisations and Procedures.

What Will You Learn?

  • General legislative obligations relating to ‘Emergency Management’ within the workplace
  • How to identify, monitor and report situations that could lead to workplace emergencies. Identify the scope of the permit
  • How to identify, report and correct situations that could prevent workplace emergencies from being safely handled
  • How to respond to emergency reports, signals and warnings
  • How to initiate and control initial emergency response
  • How to anticipate the further development of emergencies
  • How to correctly identify and use emergency equipment
  • How to safely confine emergencies where possible
